Meet Beth Thompson, Psychological Associate, MA, LPA

Beth Thompson, LPA, grew up in Tomball, Texas. Beth received her bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She then went on to pursue her master’s degree in clinical psychology at The University of Houston-Clear Lake. 

During her training, she received clinical experience in outpatient clinics, residential, and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Her training placed a strong emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy and other behavioral techniques. She completed her clinical internship in residential substance abuse treatment at The Women’s Home in Montrose, where she continued employment 

following her graduation. After obtaining her license, Beth began working at The Orchard on The Brazos Recovery where she provides individual and group therapy.

Both in a residential treatment setting and private practice, Beth has worked with clinical issues such as: anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, substance abuse, and trauma. In her individual sessions, Beth takes a cognitive behavioral, collaborative, individualized, and empathetic approach to help support her clients. Beth places a strong emphasis on continued education and staying informed of the latest treatment developments.
